Geschmacklich süßlich leicht röstig im Nebengeschmack genauso cremig wie leider auch wässrig, leicht alkoholisch cremig röstig. Fazit: Insgesamt, zwar lecker, denn es hat gute ansätze die schwäche ist der Nebengeschmack der etwas wässrig ist. Ok

Bottled. Copper colour, small slightly off-white head that disappears quite fast. Aroma is rye bread, some mild toasted malts as well as some mild not-too-sweet syrupy notes. Flavour is raisins, some toffee, plum and mild rye bready and toasted notes.

Pours dark amber with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, light alcohol, fruit and light pine. Flavour is sweet caramel, alcohol, dark fruit and pine.

A 7.5% Doppelbock, brownish-amber with a malty-sweet, alcoholic aroma. Taste is quite malty, for me Munich and Melanoidin (hence the red) flavors, as well some caramel, plum and hint of smoke in the back. The beer is quite thick with lots of body, much thicker feel than most bocks or even Märzens, another tell-tale sign of Melanoidin, but not at all cloying, oily-thick like a Oatmeal Stout. Hops are somewhat pronounced, probably noble bittering hops in the back of the tongue. It’s main drawback is that it has a slight burning alcohol. I find it’s a real feat to hide the alcohol, but this one does it only half way.
Overall, a really good doppelbock. What impresses me most is the intense caramel aftertastes and the huge, thick mouthfeel that I love.

Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, sugary, chocolate malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted - chocolate bitter, cacao bitter, sugary, burnt caramel sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121231]

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are caramel, malt, dried fruits and hops. Sweet finish with notes of alcohol.

Bottled, thanks fonefan! Clear copper colour, firm head. Aroma of raisin and treacle. Sweet and salty with full body and soft mouthfeel. Salte and caramel. Long growing bitterness. Well made.

Bottle, 7.5%. Clear dark brown/red with tiny beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel, bread, nutty and a little metallic. Flavour is malt, caramel, bread, medium sweet, nutty, fruit, hop and a little bitter.
