500 ml. bottle. Pours dark golden color with a white head. Aromas of caramel and sweet fruit. A bit on hops on the palate, some sweet fruity notes on the finish.

maxwelldeux (3698) - Everett, Washington, USA - MAY 13, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear and dark golden color with a moderate white head on it. Nose has a little bit of corn to it with the characteristics of a lager. Taste is light and crisp, but without much depth of flavor. OK, but meh.

zenkis (577) - Ogre, LATVIA - MAY 13, 2013
Sweetish malty on nose, pours pale cloudy yelllow, medium top, lacing even, almost no hops. Taste is sweetish, minimal sour, very light bitter from hopping. Although at the beginning mouthfeel seemed floured light dry. Carbonation is about medium, lively. O.A. - liked this one, nothing extra, but decent version of style, although I prefear more herbal, more hopped examples. But brewed good, no bad aspects, just drinkable indeed.

marcus (6596) - Sacramento, California, USA - APR 11, 2013
Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours cloudy golden with a rocky white head and a floral toffee aroma. There is a smooth pale malt flavor with a dry finish.

bartlebier (1807) - Belchum im Breisgau, GERMANY - APR 9, 2013
50cl fliptop - Pretty lazy Zwickel, parts of its body giving off the sulphurous impression rather having stayed wort, but confusingly also with a distinct quality spicy hop profile. Sticky, rather than preferable "unfiltered/cloudy" mouthfeel.

PorterPounder (5603) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 22, 2013
Tampa, Fl. - Total Wine - 500 ml flip-top bottle. Murky dark orange pour, thick, sticky white head, some lacing. Aroma has some wort-like grainy accents, some cake mix sweetness. Flavor is mild with some light caramel notes, some bready sweetness, a hint of dates and raisins. Mouthfeel has a nice texture to it. Plain, but enjoyable.

mansquito (3449) - Nueva York, New York, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Total Wine, Fairfax 50cl ($4): Pours an amber color with a white head. Aroma is honey, caramel malt, and a bit of hops. Taste is slightly sweet, with your basic German hoppiness. Sort of out of balance. I have definitely had better zwickels.

This is another pretty tasty beer. A bit like a aheavy lager but a tad bit of sweetness. A style hard to find but good.

The aroma is weak and watery with corn, grass, and minerals. The appearance is hazy gold. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall not much here.
