Goldgelb mit mittelmäßigem Schaum. Geruch blumig hopfig. Geschmack zuerst malzig, dann kommt die herbe deutlich hervor.

33cl bottle - Fürstenberg usually produces dishwater for the disco and football crowd, none of their 6 beers I sampled at the brewery had anything unique or even tasty going on for them. Their "Edelbräu" (no 80’s chique exaggerations are spared in Donaueschingen) is a typical SW-Pils: good, but sweetish dry malts (with even a roasted, almond quality to them), antiquely underhopped and lackluster as a pilsner overall. Drinkable, but they should tone down the nobility of their label - it creates expectations they are not remotely interested in fulfilling.

Tap in Donaueschingen. Super pale golden body, lacing white head. Lightly but lastingly sweet, malt-forward fur sure with almost no hops. Thin body but moreish. Has some faint but pretty apple.

Poured a clear gold with not much head. Aroma was somewhat floral, caramel and spice. Flavor was about the same. Pretty good for the style

Danke an quack-duck. Test vom 5.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,12,11,12,9,12 - 11,50

Bottle 50 cl. A clear golden beer with medium head that goes quickly. Nose is vegetable like. Aroms is nicely caramel-sweet like, some grassy and floral notes, good bitterness and malty notes especially at the finish. Easy drinkable, pleasant pilsener.

Bottle. Strong smell of malt and hops, rather sweet. The white creamy head is small, the body is pale yellow. The taste is rather bitter with a metallic finish. The body is light and dry with a normal carbonation.

The bottle looks very, very good, the beer in the glass also. Zippy, nice head. Starts hoppy-dry, not too much, modest bitter. Sourish notes in the background make the beer interesting. Well balanced finish, still nicely hoppy. Great beer!

Bottle 330ml.
Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, grain, toasted, molasses, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [20100219]
