Tap in Donaueschingen. Super pale yellow body, creamy white head. A little rubber in the nose, much less in the mouth though there’s till some sort of low-burn yeast by-product. Only semi-sweet with honey-drenched light body and moreish. Thin malt.

Golden color. The aromas of honey and tart fruitiness. Dryish flavor with bready and papery malts, herbal hops, some tart citrus and medium bitterness.

Zusammengefasst: Average!

500ml bottle. Poured a lightly effervescent lager golden colour with a medium sized, slowly fading creamy-rocky white head. Corn & grain aromas with a delicate zest. Better on the tongue, corn & grain sweetness with a nice fullness to it, a dash of lemon and a decent finishing bitterness. Light to medium body, quite crisp & lively on the palate. Nice enough beer to begin the night.

#1185 Recht mildes, aber feingehopftes Export mit blumigem Einschlag. Ist für ein <echtes> Export ne Ecke zu glattgeschliffen wie das stylische Etikett der Flasche, aber insgesamt doch recht süffig!

50cl bottle. Pours a light golden with steady bubbles and a good head. The nose was unfortunately sweetcorn and some vegetable oil. When smeilling properly it actually brings the pale malt through a bit. The taste has pale malt, some sweetcorn and a lemony finish. The palate is light to medium bodied, quite creamy but althought the finish is dry, it could be more refreshing. Overall, better than most lagers but low-end for Germany.

Bottle. A light fruity aroma, quite malty, light smell of bread. The small white head is fizzy and milky with a short duration. The body is yellow. The taste is light bitter, weak taste of malt with some cardboard. The body is rather light, a little bit creamy and watery with a normal carbonation.

Bottle 50cl. A clear yellow beer with high carbonation and good head. Smell is on malt and nuts notes. Aroma is relatively low, less malty, good hops bitterness, body is medium to low. Not a great lager.

Bottle (thanx to Q.-D.!): Pale golden to golden, small stable and lacy white head; moderate grainy-malty nose with a sweetish-hoppy background; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, nearly medium bodied; soft and short sweet-bitter finish. Average, but chewy Helles......
