3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - MAY 25, 2011
OK. 10/10/11/10/12/10

Bottle looks good, beer in the glass not very zippy, small head, darker than exspected. Dry aroma. Starts mild, a bit too mild for a festbier, modest malty-dry, soft fruity notes of plums. Finish dry, soft malty. Not my favourite!

Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of Quack-Duck. It pours a clear amber beer with a nice head which leaves a decent lace. Raisin, caramel, Vienna malt and inviting aroma hops in the nose. Good bitterness. Apple sneaking in. Medium bodied. Pleasant taste. Dry finish which is faintly reminiscent of caramel, dried apricot and marzipan. Thanks a lot Quack-Duck!
