Like many other continental lager-type pilseners. Refreshing a crisp without being anything too special. Quite hoppy and averagely gassy.

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 11/20
Oakes (10191) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 18, 2000
UPDATED: MAY 12, 2006 Golden colour. Aroma is light, accented towards grass with hints of bread. Flavour is sweet at first, drying slightly in the finish. Still, it’s not all that dry nor does it have much malt nor hop character. A shade of what north German pils ought to be.

Bov (7364) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - NOV 19, 2000
UPDATED: JUL 19, 2003 clear golden colour, few head, hoppy, fat grass aroma, tart and bitter, very dry herbal finish - a good example of the style

Sammys (428) - Portland, Maine, USA - AUG 16, 2000
This was a decent Pilsener, on par with most I’ve had from Germany. Not as good as Spaten, perhaps, but better than Beck’s and the like. Very clean and crisp, with slight hop accents.
