(Bottle 50 cl) Orangey golden and - naturally - unclear. An impressive, rich head. Fresh all right but a bit thin, too little fruit, too little aroma. Simply lacks some character. 090203
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MrRomero (1966) - Nolanville, Texas, USA - NOV 15, 2005
Bottle: poured yellow with a thick meringue like head. Light banana phenol aroma. Cloudy yellow. Moderate yeastiness. Mild banana flavor with good body. A decent example of a German hefeweizen but I’ve had better.
2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 ALLOVATE (2098) - Butler, AUSTRALIA - OCT 17, 2005
This one started off well but had nothing to save it in the end. Tasted from the bottle and poured into a weissbier glass. Hazy, medium gold body with a huge flurry of carbonation raising up to an impressive two inch, steadfast, rocky white crown. Generous banana, bubblegum and gritty wheat nose, quite candyish and sweet without coming across as too artificial. Slightly plastic and medicinal in the mouth (Oh, the appearance and aroma were so good, what happened!?!). Spritzy in carbonation and medium light bodied, it seemed to conflict between castor sugar notes and lemony sour malt with the slightest hint of banana coming in as it warmed. Pretty bland and disappointing in the mouth, especially with the good build up, but it did go down with ease. Average refresher!! (50cL, BBE 009/05)

Milky, yeasty aroma with orange. Yeasty flavor with yoghurt, banana and orange. Slightly herbal. Thick mouthfeel, almost like drinkyoghurt.
