COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Zlotta (1913) - Hagen, GERMANY - JAN 3, 2016
Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from ’REWE Budnik & Homberg’, best before August 2016. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Sweetish-malty, slightly grassy aroma of honey, caramel and nuts. Sweetish-malty taste of honey, caramel and nuts, followed by a short, slightly grassy and minimally bitter finish. Thin to medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quaffable, not too sweet, expected a lot worse.

BBD: 06-2016.
In short: sweet honey beer.
Pours clear dark gold with some off white head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Malty, spicy, honey nose. Light to medium body, average carbonation, oily texture. Taste ois quite sweet, little to none hop character, strong honey noes, much more noticed in flavour rather than aromas. Poor.
