Test vom 25.10.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,9,10,9,6,9 - 9,10

Medium white head, honey-like light brown colour. Very sweet, mead-lke aroma. Sweet taste and, of course, a strong honey palate. It’s a matter of personal taste, but I really like it.

500 ml bottle. L4/16. BB 10/12. From bierzwerg.de.
Clear mahogany colour with small off-white head. Aroma is surprisingly hoppy and malty sweet. Some sugary sweetness. Yukh! Flavour is undiscribably utterly undrinkable. So fricken honey flavoured and supersweet that I can’t drink this. Down to drain. I hope I can recover.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BBE 08/2012 - as Fürstlich Drehna Selection Honig Bier, courtesy of rosenbergh, 20120803) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had metallicness, malts and honet. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sticky sweetness, honey, malts, metallicness and very low bitterness. Aftertaste had sweetness and honey. A way too sweet which should not be a surprise when drinking a honey beer. Not my style.

The head is medium, the body amber. The taste is sweet-malty, sweet-honey. In the aftertaste sweet-sugary, honey-a bit bitter. Ok 10/11/12/11/12/11

fromm bottle. so this is it: the famous "odin trunk". quite ridiculous label with odin on. poured into the glass it has a brown colour and a minimal white head that quickly disappears. the aroma is quite pleasent, malts, honey and some metallic notes. medium sweet taste of honey combined with some hoppy notes. body is medium, texture is quite oily. long lasting honey finish. i actually like this but actually can’t drink more than one bottle once in a while due to the sweet honey flavour.
