2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
(Bottle, 0.5 l - BBE 08/2012 - as Fürstlich Drehna Selection Honig Bier, courtesy of rosenbergh, 20120803) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had metallicness, malts and honet. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sticky sweetness, honey, malts, metallicness and very low bitterness. Aftertaste had sweetness and honey. A way too sweet which should not be a surprise when drinking a honey beer. Not my style.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours clear darkish amber with small off-white head. Clear aroma of raw malt, honey, yeast and hops. Sweet flavour of honey and yeast, interspersed by hoppy notes, ending bottersweet. High carbonation. An acceptable mixture of honey and beer, but I’m not enough of a teddy bear to say that I actually like it. Still, an appropriate to celebrate the Teddy Bear’s birthday with :-)

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Ambrée dorée plate sans mousse. Au nez du miel, en bouche du miel, un peu de malt. Pas d’amertume. Assez ecoeurant. Pas vraiment une bière, le miel domine trop.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Difficult to assess, but I’m not fond of the mead-like character of this beer. Large sweetness that gets annoying in the long run.
