3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear, golden copper colored body with an inch thick, creamy and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is lightly sweetened caramels with touches of toasty bread, a light grass, and a light fruitiness. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened caramels with a light fruitiness, touches of toast, and a light grass. Finishes clean, lightly dry and bitter, and a touch sweet. Medium length aftertaste following a medium body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty decent Märzen. Well balanced, easy drinking, and enjoyable enough. Not bad.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
On draught at the brewpub: Amber coloured, firm, creamy head, visible carbonation, sweet, honeyish-malty nose with a huge "green" touch and a metallic tinge; fizzy MF, light bodied, moderate sweetish-bitter flavour; short, malty-sweetish finish with a harsh (yeasty?) aftertaste. The qualities of a Märzen are detectable, but spoiled by the distinctive "green" taste; not worth a visit...
