COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Draft at the brewpub. Slightly hazy, opaque with a golden hay hue. Creamy white head. It drinks with a creamy consistency, drinking with a nice even malty character, and a sweet finish. It is what it is. Nice start to a Bavarian beer tour ... (#4373, 11/30/2011)

Beer No. 5 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Draught at the brewpub. Hazy yellow/golden coloured, small white head, light fruity nose. Moderate malty, grainy and fruity with mild bitter hoppy finish. Drinkable.

A very nice, mild, but interesting helles that is a great thirst-quencher on a hot day.

Tap. Slightly sweet creamy barley malt and light green grass hops aroma. Hazy golden yellow color with moderate head. Lightly sweet barley malt and moderate bitter grass hops flavor. Nice - hops flavor dominates.

Draught @ Fürstliches Brauhaus Regensburg, Waffnergasse 6-8, 93047 Regensburg, Oberpfalz/Bayern, Germany.
Unclear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, peppery. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090703]

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2009 Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy straw colour, creamy head. The aroma holds a lovely mix of buttery yeast, grassy hops and bready malt. Fairly sweet with medium body and soft cream mouthfeel. The careful grassy hops does not stir up the cottony custard malt too much. Mild hay-like bitterness. A thoroughly pleasant zwickelbier!

Cloudy - looks like a weizen. Malty, bready nose. Dryish, bready pale malt signature, with only a hint of yeast notes, kind of like a faux rusticity. I like this, it has a good drinkable character.

Draft at brewpub. Hazy and looks like a wheat beer. The yeasty aroma is odd, and out of place too. Not bad, though, with lots of sweet malts. Body is nice and somewhat granular. Good carbonation level. Husky beer with a nice hoppy finish. Nothing spectacular but fun to drink

Draught, 5.3% as Regensburger Original at the brewpub. Hazy yellow colour, sparkling. Big stable white head. The flavour starts off with a distinct bitterness, slightly rough. Then a mild maltiness kicks in along with a little bread. Quite well-rounded.

(Bottle, 1l, at One Pint Pub, Helsinki, on 2008-11-10) Pale golden. Hazy. Medium sized white head that lasts only a moment. Hops and grass in nose. Light bodied palate with medium carbonation. Fruitiness, bitterness, some yeast, sweetness, grass and hint of white bread in taste. Grass, bitterness and fruitiness in aftertaste.
