COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
My goal in building the recipe for Fallen Apple was to create a seasonal specialty that was in and of itself a celebration. I start with fresh-pressed cider from early harvest apples we get from Kickapoo Orchards in Gays Mills. Fermentation leaves the cider tart and champagne-like. I then brew a cream ale designed to put some sweetness and body back into the beer, which rounds out the sour apple notes. This combination of ethereal apple flavor grounded in an “everyman’s” beer makes for a festive and potent brew.

Aroma is sweet, ripe apples. Taste is really sticky sweet... not as much as a cider, but still a bit too much. This is mainly apple with a very mild bread undertone. Palate is dry and sweet, a bit too sticky for my taste.

Smells like apple juice. Slightly sour apple taste, granny smith perhaps? Smooth, not overally sweet, quite drinkable for a apple beer. Good stuff.

Nice try and Interesting but apple flavor is second rate and a bit to sweet and bland.

12oz bottle.
Pours a nice-looking clear amber-orange. A white head forms on pour, a few bubble-layers thick. It quickly dissipates but a constant stream of bubbles continually feeds a persistent wisp of bubbles on top. Aroma is pleasant enough, but mosty one-dimensional of apple cider. Flavor is also reminiscent of apple cider mixed with ale -- this is basically a Snakebite in a bottle, only not quite as good. Medium palate, almost a bit thick, with a slightly sticky feel. An apple beer is tough to pull off well, and Furthermore doesn’t do it here. In fact, only New Glarus has made one that I actually liked rather than tolerated. If someone offered me a bottle of this at a party, I’d drink it; otherwise, I probably won’t be having another one of these again.

Pours a nice copper color with a small light head. Faint grainy apple aroma. Flavor matches the aroma with a little apple aftertaste.Nothing offensive...but nothing that stands out.

Pours golden in color with a nice foamy dirty white head. Slightly malty aroma with a bit of apple. Not too much apple in the taste either.

Clear amber color. Not much head. Light apple aroma. Tastes like an apple infused, cream ale. Loads of Apple with a backbone of pale malt. Lightish body. Sweet, tart, apple. An interesting apple beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Halfway between a cider and a beer, this doesn’t do either much justice. There is a slight spritz with the iny bubbles, but not much else worth noting.

Smells like alcohol, apples, and ozone, in that order. Tastes like apples, ozone, and alcohol, in that order. Also some light malts giving it toast and porridge notes and balance out the apple sweetness. Body is maybe too thin, and carbonation too much.

Sort of tastes like a mediocre cider with a bit of beer added to it. Very carbonated mouthfeel that while it doesn’t ruin the beer makes the front end not too enjoyable. The apple flavor is very predominant moreso than the cream ale. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this one..might as well get a nice cider instead.
