Commercial Description:
My goal in building the recipe for Fallen Apple was to create a seasonal specialty that was in and of itself a celebration. I start with fresh-pressed cider from early harvest apples we get from Kickapoo Orchards in Gays Mills. Fermentation leaves the cider tart and champagne-like. I then brew a cream ale designed to put some sweetness and body back into the beer, which rounds out the sour apple notes. This combination of ethereal apple flavor grounded in an “everyman’s” beer makes for a festive and potent brew.

Smells like alcohol, apples, and ozone, in that order. Tastes like apples, ozone, and alcohol, in that order. Also some light malts giving it toast and porridge notes and balance out the apple sweetness. Body is maybe too thin, and carbonation too much.

A pleasent, unique apple brew that pours a straw yellow body accompanied by a small white head. Carries plenty of fresh fruit aromas and flavors. Suprisingly silky texture with a nice crisp soft hop finish.

Not as bad as I had heard it was going to be. Pour was medium golden with a small off-white head. Aroma decorated with bitter apples, light cinnamon, maybe some nutmeg, and floral characters. The flavor was well blended and mellow. Again bitter apples accompanied the cream ale itself which seemed to work well together. There seemed to be a bit too much carbonation but overall it wasn’t so bad. Could use some more spice overall for my own liking. Maybe worth a purchase but not a second.

Thin white head of medium sized bubbles. Good carbonation. Dusty apple cider aroma with some dry wheat and vanilla. Some spices as the brew warms. Amber in color. Tart apples, more vanilla and spices in the flavor. Some gritty and grainy notes. Finishes a little bit dry and tart. I like these apple ales.

Thanks Dave. The beer pours to a bright orange amber body that’s 100% filtered with a white head. The aroma is cheap crappy macro lager with a dash of apple cider. The flavor is actually decent with a dry apple cider but no residual sugars as it finishes really clean and drinks like water. Tart apple cider meets toasty pale malts. Average tart cidery palate. Simplistic but would be refreshing on a really hot day.

Apple cider with thin white head. Aroma of apples, cinnamon and sweet malts. Taste of apples. Tart and creamy with a dry astringent finish. Reminds me of biting into an apple (shocker). Smooth but watery.
