COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The conception and naming of this beer happened in one fell swoop. Unsure whether to offer a light session beer or a fun ball-buster as our warm weather seasonal, we decided on a beer that would be “a big, fatty boombalatty” version of a Belgian white. And away we went, taking a recipe for a white beer and ramping up the grain bill by 50%; we dropped the amount of wheat by 75% to keep the beer rough around the edges. We bucked tradition by steering the bitterness in the direction of a pale ale, and coupling hops with coriander in the fermenter. The resulting beer gives you all the bubblegum goodness of a big Belgian, with enough crispness to cut through the sweet profile, thus making you want to sip it again and again. Dangerous, indeed!

Dry metalic aroma. Pours golden with no head. Sweet, a little cidery, cotton candy, and a little spicy in the flavor, a little banana. Kind of weak in the flavor. Not bad.

Pours a medium slightly hazy golden with a huge lasting head. Great carbonation showering to the surface. Beautiful appearance. Aroma is medium spice, wheat, fruit zest. Flavor is also nice pepper spice, citrus zest, wheats and malt. Body was just a tad thin but overall I was quite impressed.

Clear orange with a 1/2 finger off-white head, fading to a film before too long. Aroma of Belgian yeast, coriander, some slightly off old lemons, a bit of wheat and a hint of spicy herbal hops. Flavor was more lemony with more bitter hop presence than I would’ve thought from the aroma, and after the first sip (which made me think something went wrong with this beer) things began to go together better. Orange rinds and flowery perfume makes itself apparent and dominate the flavor. Peppery hoppy semi-dry finish that is peaks at a 3 (of 10) for bitterness. Alcohol is present, but barely. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Pretty tasty--was pleasantly surprised.

Bottle: Hazy copper gold, light head and lacing. Nose of bright carbonation and yeast, grass, citrus, hay, bright citrus and grass. Wait, I already said that....and typed it. The flavor is plickery on the mouth, more grass and citrus. Nice belgian notes, interesting. Don’t ask me what plickery means, but there it is on my notebook. I was drinking, so it can’t be wrong.

Thanks for the bottle from secret santa. 6 months old. Pours with a thin microbubble veil over the surface that lasts indefinitely. The liquid is a murky golden color. Aroma of pear, banana, corriander and cloves. Nice typical belgian aroma. Taste of wheat, lemon. Medium-light body makes it easy to drink. Hops are subdued. Improved flavor as it warms up. Actually pretty nice. I like it much more than others it seems.

12oz bottle-A slightly hazy yellow body with a nice white head and an aroma of belgian yeast, fruit, spice, and a little hops. Taste of the same with a little alcohol on the back end. Good tasting brew.

poured into tulip. pours a cloudy semi golden with relative low white head. wild yeastie bread aroma. a spritzy carbonated mouthfeel leading to a yeastie complexity and a mild finish. good, not too complex...

12oz bottle. pours semi hazy golden with thin white head. nose is wheaty, lots of candy sugar, coriander, lime leaves, and banana. flavor is wheaty, coriander, lots of bananas, candy sugar too much banana and wheat makes this an unappealing flavor profile. body is thin-med. alc well hidden. not too good.

Tasted 7/18/2007. 12oz bottle. Hazy golden hue. Ring of white head. Citrusy floral nose. Nice pleasant nose. Light to medium bodied. Good wheat. Peppery hop finish. Grainy wheat. Good interpretation. Sticky with a touch of tart acidity. Easy session drinking.
