COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The conception and naming of this beer happened in one fell swoop. Unsure whether to offer a light session beer or a fun ball-buster as our warm weather seasonal, we decided on a beer that would be “a big, fatty boombalatty” version of a Belgian white. And away we went, taking a recipe for a white beer and ramping up the grain bill by 50%; we dropped the amount of wheat by 75% to keep the beer rough around the edges. We bucked tradition by steering the bitterness in the direction of a pale ale, and coupling hops with coriander in the fermenter. The resulting beer gives you all the bubblegum goodness of a big Belgian, with enough crispness to cut through the sweet profile, thus making you want to sip it again and again. Dangerous, indeed!

Well you cannot say this beer is the same old same old. I suppose our RateBeer friends have to put this under some category. May I suggest "Offbeat Blends" or "Hopeless Cute Names"? This one starts with an aroma in the ballpark of a Belgian--all spiced and bubblegummish. The hops give it a dry bite and a peppery finish. Fun to try but definitely not sessionable.

Dark Orange/Amber color with a cloudy appearance. The flavor is a mixture of sweet yeasts, floral hops, hefe-cloves, bananas, bubblegum, toffee, malts and barley. The body is a bit heavier, the carbonation is balanced quite well and it feels very crisp when drinking. It’s a pretty good Belgian Style ale, not the best I’ve had but it’s definitely up there!

12oz bottle from a buddy who picked this one up in Wisconsin. Light yellow color. Smell of yeast, caramel, bread, bannanas, spice and citrus peal/zezt. Taste of malt, caramel, yeast, orange zest, yeast, minor wheat and a touch of brown sugar. Just alright, nothing to brag about.

Clear amber with copious white head. Nose of Belgian candy, yeast, fruit esters, bubblegum and minty hops. Taste is candied fruits and bubblegum finishing with a solid pine bitterness. Lingering hops and light candy. Lightly dry. An excellent, clean brew.

Bottle pours deep gold with an off-white head. Aroma shows notes of wheat, clove, apricot, banana and pepper. Flavor shows the same with a hint of vanilla wafer, light bubblegum, and a touch of earthy funk. Overall body is light to moderate, crisp and the finish is lightly bitter.
