Commercial Description:
The conception and naming of this beer happened in one fell swoop. Unsure whether to offer a light session beer or a fun ball-buster as our warm weather seasonal, we decided on a beer that would be “a big, fatty boombalatty” version of a Belgian white. And away we went, taking a recipe for a white beer and ramping up the grain bill by 50%; we dropped the amount of wheat by 75% to keep the beer rough around the edges. We bucked tradition by steering the bitterness in the direction of a pale ale, and coupling hops with coriander in the fermenter. The resulting beer gives you all the bubblegum goodness of a big Belgian, with enough crispness to cut through the sweet profile, thus making you want to sip it again and again. Dangerous, indeed!

(12oz bottle) Hazy light amber body with minimal off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, apricot/peach, perfume, Belgian yeast, some duskiness. Taste is medium sweet, Belgian yeast/dusky, some orange/peach, earthy. Somewhat dry finish. Light-medium body, light acidic.

Pours a hazy orange bronze with a thin, clingy-lacing white head. Aroma has a nice sweet light caramel and honey orange coriander character. Body starts fairly full and wheaty sweet with good honey and coriander flavor toward a crisp, bittersweet finish with a good dose of bready yeast. A nice witbier.

Bottle: Hazy copper gold, light head and lacing. Nose of bright carbonation and yeast, grass, citrus, hay, bright citrus and grass. Wait, I already said that....and typed it. The flavor is plickery on the mouth, more grass and citrus. Nice belgian notes, interesting. Don’t ask me what plickery means, but there it is on my notebook. I was drinking, so it can’t be wrong.

Bottle... Cloudy, light amber ale with a mid-sized, frothy, off-white head. Excellent retention. Mildly spicy nose with gentle clove phenols and sweet crystal or Munich malt. Banana esters and herbal, earthy hops. Sweet, biscuit malt, fruity flavor with earthy, mineral bitterness. Medium-bodied with a skim milk mouthfeel and ultra-fizzy carbonation. Short, crisp, spicy/fruity finish. Hey, 1FastSTi, thanks for the brew!
