COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The conception and naming of this beer happened in one fell swoop. Unsure whether to offer a light session beer or a fun ball-buster as our warm weather seasonal, we decided on a beer that would be “a big, fatty boombalatty” version of a Belgian white. And away we went, taking a recipe for a white beer and ramping up the grain bill by 50%; we dropped the amount of wheat by 75% to keep the beer rough around the edges. We bucked tradition by steering the bitterness in the direction of a pale ale, and coupling hops with coriander in the fermenter. The resulting beer gives you all the bubblegum goodness of a big Belgian, with enough crispness to cut through the sweet profile, thus making you want to sip it again and again. Dangerous, indeed!

DocLock (7721) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 23, 2010
Bottle from Capone’s. Chill haxzy copper pour with off-white head. Funky yeasty, floral, and hopcitric nose, with rock sugar as well, and a funky flavor, with back up florals, spice, rock sugary malt, and some peppery hops. I like Furthermore’s originality, and this one wasn’t bad, but not great.

CaptainCougar (7129) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JUL 14, 2007
Pours a hazy orange bronze with a thin, clingy-lacing white head. Aroma has a nice sweet light caramel and honey orange coriander character. Body starts fairly full and wheaty sweet with good honey and coriander flavor toward a crisp, bittersweet finish with a good dose of bready yeast. A nice witbier.

Bottled. Poured clear medium orange with a fizzy white head and constant rising carbonation. Aroma picked up spicy yeast and banana bread.. apple skins and apricots.. and a rather hefty sweet candy presence (not unlke Circus Peanuts)... intriguing. Flavor had bunches of light fruity sweetness at the core, well-accented by white pepper and clove spiciness.. perfumey notes increase with warmth. Just about medium-bodied with OK balance to it.. quite a lot of spicage going on. Solid brew.

355ml bottle. Finally trying this. All I can say is it is straight phenols, nothing else, too one dimensional.

September 10, 2010 - 12oz bottle shared by SwoopJones with me and Rudolf. Pineapple juice -like murky orange-yellow with an average diminishing white head. An interesting aroma mashing up moderate alcohol, sweet candi bubblegum/banana, and lots of grassy bitterness, but if you take a good honking sniff of it, there’s a weird sweaty vintage gym shoe funk to it too, which detracts a bit. Taste is "sweaty" but that’s yeast and pungent hoppiness, and fair bit of alcohol; background fruit-sweet malt - better than the aroma, no pongy footwear detected. Thick mouthfeel, astringent and decently carbonated; the malt fades fast and leaves a pungent back of palate/tongue acidic bitter aftertaste.
