COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The conception and naming of this beer happened in one fell swoop. Unsure whether to offer a light session beer or a fun ball-buster as our warm weather seasonal, we decided on a beer that would be “a big, fatty boombalatty” version of a Belgian white. And away we went, taking a recipe for a white beer and ramping up the grain bill by 50%; we dropped the amount of wheat by 75% to keep the beer rough around the edges. We bucked tradition by steering the bitterness in the direction of a pale ale, and coupling hops with coriander in the fermenter. The resulting beer gives you all the bubblegum goodness of a big Belgian, with enough crispness to cut through the sweet profile, thus making you want to sip it again and again. Dangerous, indeed!

bottle. Hazy pale yellow pour...smallish white head. Sweet malt nose...yeasty, musky, and light fruits. Medium bodied with a grassy yeasty flavor....more light fruits too. The maltiness remains throughout...maintains that belgian ale flavor to the end....nice attempt at a witbier.

Pours hazy yellow/gold with a medium white head. Aromas of citrus, banana, clove, and yeast. Taste is very much the same, but still does not taste as good as it smells. A bit too much carbonation and too much of a dry finish for me. Overall just ok.

Aroma of potpourri, lemon, and cab tree air fresheners. Weeird! Tastes tamer thankfully with flavors of buttered bread, lemon, artificial pine, and wheat. Finishes even more mellow. Spritzy mouthfeel. Weird beer. The font is fitting.

12oz bottle courtesy of AdamGarcia. Pours a hazy golden orange with a fluffy white head that recedes to a small collar and swirl on top with little lacing. The aroma is full of sugary sweet apples and pears with a subtle bit of bubble gum wheat in the nose and some lemony citrus hops. There is some spicy yeast floating around as well. The taste has the same dominant fruity sweetness with an initial orange citrus kick up front. The light banana and bubble gum sweetness is present but swept away by a dry spicy finish. Still, it’s a sweet flavor overall. The mouthfeel is moderately carbonated but still a bit slick and sugary sweet. It seemed to lack a bit in terms of body though. It’s a cross between a hefe, an IPA and a Belgian pale and it’s definitely drinkable though probably lacking the heft to be a serious Belgian pale.

A lighter amber color with a whitish head. Strong flavor with some sweetness, but a distinct alcohol tint to it. A bit of spice, fruit, and yeast.

Pours cloudy yellow with white head. The nose is bananas with coriander and subtle grain. Comes across the palate rather weak and dry grain with subtle coriander and spicy bitter. Rather dissapointed with this brew.
