3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Pigfoot (2267) - Minneapolis, USA - JUL 9, 2007
I do like the name, gotta give them that, even before the crown is cracked.
Lightly hazed, golden hued appearce, slim, soon-gone head, highly carbonated ...nice, though...
Sweetness in the aroma, plenty of citrus and spice, an orangey/lemon kick, and some coriander and pepper in there, too...delectable, enticing, likable, yes...
Taste: deliciousness is here, there’s some tart, and some bitter, some grit, and a slice of sweet...good texture, lots of give and play...nothing too slick or smooth in this, plenty of flavor, loads of fruit...has all the earmarks of a good, Belgian-style pale ale. In fact, if you blindfolded me, and served it to me, it peg it as a Belgian, and wouldn’t dream it was from an upstart Wisconsin micro.
"Dangerously drinkable" says the label, sort of what you’d say about something like Duvel, but there’s no abv listed....would be nice to know how much alcohol I’m ingesting....it feels on the upper edge.
More from the label: "unrepentant, unpretentious, and unfiltered, our Belgian style pale ale features a touch of wheat and plenty of hops."
Yep, they’re telling the truth there...and the goofy name charms me more than something that arches toward the ages.
More lemon, more wheat, more straw, more hops....damn tnagy, and really good!
I’d love to find out more about the ingredients, and the abv, and maybe more...this is perhaps the most impressive and enjoyable brew I’ve tasted from these guys yet! Good job!
3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 hopheadsbrew (27) - - APR 12, 2012
Thick fluffy head. Sweet bubblegum aroma with mild hops. Bubblegum. Some hop bitterness. Sweet malt. Good carbonation. Long finish.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 BeerKurve (76) - - APR 2, 2012
Dark Orange/Amber color with a cloudy appearance. The flavor is a mixture of sweet yeasts, floral hops, hefe-cloves, bananas, bubblegum, toffee, malts and barley. The body is a bit heavier, the carbonation is balanced quite well and it feels very crisp when drinking. It’s a pretty good Belgian Style ale, not the best I’ve had but it’s definitely up there!
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hombrepalo (1401) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 26, 2012
12oz bottle from a buddy who picked this one up in Wisconsin. Light yellow color. Smell of yeast, caramel, bread, bannanas, spice and citrus peal/zezt. Taste of malt, caramel, yeast, orange zest, yeast, minor wheat and a touch of brown sugar. Just alright, nothing to brag about.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 arkurzynski (852) - West Bend, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 6, 2012
Clear amber with copious white head. Nose of Belgian candy, yeast, fruit esters, bubblegum and minty hops. Taste is candied fruits and bubblegum finishing with a solid pine bitterness. Lingering hops and light candy. Lightly dry. An excellent, clean brew.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 dionysus (1443) - Arizona, USA - FEB 21, 2012
Bottle pours deep gold with an off-white head. Aroma shows notes of wheat, clove, apricot, banana and pepper. Flavor shows the same with a hint of vanilla wafer, light bubblegum, and a touch of earthy funk. Overall
body is light to moderate, crisp and the finish is lightly bitter.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 PhilDBrewer (37) - Bloomington, Indiana, USA - DEC 25, 2011
Pours a clear golden color with about 0.25 in of head. Malty flavor with banana and bubblegum notes. Not a bad beer but it seems to suffer from a bit of an identity crisis.
4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 BunnyHops (27) - Newark, Illinois, USA - DEC 11, 2011
This is my new favorite summer beer. We got it at a little bar in Spring Green while passing through. It was very smooth and not too fruity, great banana bubblegum taste.

A lighter amber color with a whitish head. Strong flavor with some sweetness, but a distinct alcohol tint to it. A bit of spice, fruit, and yeast.

This one was really good. On tap at Hawthornes in Philly. Nice spicy aroma from a golden pour with a big head. The flavor had a nice sweetness along with a nice spiciness. A bit of a hop bite at the end. Nice and dry with a good after taste.

12 oz bottle at a friend’s party. Cloudy yellow, nice long-lasting head but a plastic cup won’t yield to much lace. It shows a nice banana ester nose. Mixes hefeweizen with Belgian wit, a bit of bubblegum and malt. Taste is slightly sweet with fruit esters and a bit of wit spice. Slight funk.
