COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Double IPA featuring local hops for extra Wisconsin-ness. We are embracing the reemergence of regional hops in this citrus forward/fruit-finishing beer. As the name implies, there is enough Cascade and Mt. Hood hops jammed into each pint to warrant breaking out the pruning shears. Luckily the big body will be enough to soothe any scrapes or scratches that the Full Thicket might inflict.

Clear copper - not sure whatís imperial about this - tastes like a regular old IPA - flavor is clean, moderate sweetness - hops taste very earthy, so much so that the beer kind of tastes like dirt at times - tastes like resin, pine - medium to high bitterness - some caramel notes on the end - light garlic - spicy and pepper finish - meh.

Draft at Sugar Maple. An orange-tinged amber beer. Drinks wtih a funky earthiness, mashy and musty with a nutty, malt backbone. Rich mouthfeel. (#5159, 7/6/2013)

Bottle. Orange gold pour with a small white head. Grass and line hops, might be a little stale - picking up some cardboard. Meh - Iíve had much better from this brewer.

Pours a pale orange color. With an off white head. Light hop, pine aroma. It's like a more subdued Cascade aroma. Taste is more hops and pine than expected from the smell. Good malt balance but the hops cut through. Slightly bitter finish, full bodied. Brisk, yet woodsy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured form a bottle with a thick head. Medium piney hops and relatively strong malt underneath. Fruits and spices come through in the malt with a somewhat unexpected dry finish. A bit boozy. Decent, but not great.

Bottle @ Gregís house picked up in the Midwest. Pours a clear, dark orange appearance with a small off white head. Sweet bready, caramel malty, a bit spicy herbal bland hoppy aroma. Strong, somewhat boozy, spicy, chewy bready, bland herbal hoppy flavor. Not very good.

Bottle - Pours clear amber orange with a huge foamy light tan head. Nose is lots of toasty malt, orange marmalade, and some piney, grassy hops. Taste is the same, but itís pretty boozy and bitter. Grassy and piney hops, some citrus rind, and more toasted malt. Itís pretty bitter and sharp. Smooth and fine-bubbled, pretty slick. Not all that great.

Bottle. Pours dark copper with some head. Weak aroma of piney hops. Taste is also piney, shocked this is a double IPA...or even an IPA.

Bottle from Bob, dark gold pour with a bit of white head. Aroma of light piney hops and earthiness. Taste is piney bitterness and malt, it's ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Surprised at the hate this gets. Had it on draft. Def took about 3 sips but then wow, a complex ipa.
