3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle, consumed on 1-18-14. Fruity, creamy, malty, barley-wine-esque, boozy aroma features orange, muffin, cookie, biscuit, and yellow plum scents. Strong and complex; floral and perfumey smell. Pours mostly clear with some haze. Highly effervescent: Many small bubbles. Small amount of beige head. Orange brass to sable color. Nice looking beer. Salty, dry taste features light pine, tonic water, booze, and lemon flavors. Dirt dryness from the hops in the finish. Pleasant but weak flavors. Medium body. Lively in the palate. Furthermore Full Thicket is perfectly pleasant but plain and forgettable, especially for the style.

An average ipa at best. Smells hoppy and hoppy flavored. Has a soapy flavored finish not fruit at all.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dank hops and semi-sweet malt. Not very thick or syrupy like I would expect. Ok.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a clear gold with lasting head and good lacing. Aroma is woody and malty, with alcohol and a spicy heat. Taste is malty, with some piney bitterness in the middle and then more lightly roasted malts in the aftertaste. Not my idea of an Imperial IPA. This is rough around the edges, but itís drinkable. Donít think Iíd seek out another.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Had it from a bottle. Poured a amber clear hue with swirling tornado of sediment. Stanky hop aroma and a hop sour flavor.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tasted from a 12oz bottle. It poured a clear amber with a frothy off-white head and spotty lacing. Moderate hop aroma with a bitter hop taste and finish. Itís also a bit sour. A double IPA, with about half the enjoyability. Take a pass on this one.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a pale orange color. With an off white head. Light hop, pine aroma. It's like a more subdued Cascade aroma. Taste is more hops and pine than expected from the smell. Good malt balance but the hops cut through. Slightly bitter finish, full bodied. Brisk, yet woodsy.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours cloudy orange. 1 inch white head. Not much hop smell or taste for a double IPA. I notice a lot of the malt character coming through. This is not necessarily a bad thing. This is a decent beer. Not what I expected though.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
pours a nice deep amber color with a thin white head that lasts and laces. Aroma is nearly non existent for a DIPA that should have waves of hops. Taste some mild malt flavors, some sweetness, and a hint of hops. Thin on the mouthfeel with an odd finish. Add some hops to the boil, and maybe a high alpha like a simcoe for dry hop aroma and we may have something here, until then this falls a bit flat for me.
