I remembered this being better. kmweaver (1765), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA May 29, 2008 12oz bottle, courtesy of a trade from a while ago. Thanks! Pours a clear, medium dark orange-amber color; light tan head with patchy lacing. Slightly bland aroma: red fruits, sweet candy, and fusel alcohols; nail polish / acetone. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: light carbonation; chewy candy sugars and red fruits and sticky maltiness; not very dense or flavorful for the levels of alcohol; slightly less rough than the nose suggests, at least; messy, bland beer. Medium finish: wet malts, some toastiness, and fruit; some lingering warmth. argo0 (6004), Washington DC, USA May 28, 2008 (12oz bottle, thanks kmweaver) Small beige head atop clear dark amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, bubblegum, Belgian yeast, some alcohol/acetone. Taste is medium sweet, alcohol, Belgian yeast, some caramel, light grapefruit/earthy, pepper. Some alcohol burn/warming in the finish. Medium body. ryan (1648), Beltsville, Maryland, USA May 28, 2008 Courtesy of kmweaver. Clear amber body (someone needs to tell the brewers what the word pale means) with a medium sized beige head. Sweet, fusel alcohol nose with caramel, raisins, nail polish remover and citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet with nail polish remover, overt fruitiness, caramel and dough. Medium/full body is moderately carbonated with a hot finish. Drain pour. Shag (1748), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA May 26, 2008 An amber color with a carbonated white head. The aroma contains some alcohol and malty notes. The flavor contains some sour notes with some alcohol, nuts, and caramel. The finish is rather sweet and peppery. I could take or leave this brewing mess.
