Used to be a big fan of triples. Really overpowering fruity and carbonated. Another finish. Fruity aroma.

I enjoyed this a lot. Pale ales are quickly taking over as one of my top three styles- this one is a pretty good one, too. Some nice subtle floral qualities, a touch of resin, loads of fizz and refreshing carbonation and some serious punch packed into the ABV. Really liked it.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 6, 2013 Draft at Moriartys. Dark copper pour. Fizzy white head left some lace. Sweet dark ale with lots of hops. Chewy bitter cinnamon chocolate caramels. Think this is an instance where the hops and malt are not playing well together.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark reddish brown with a sweet and fruity aroma and taste. There are tart and sweet grapey notes that are likely a combination of yeast and candi sugar. It may be a bit too sweet but it’s still quite good. $3/10 oz

Interesting beer. Brownish color, hoppy, fruity aroma. Taste is sweet and bitter with some pepper. Feel like there’s some Belgian style flavors in there. Strange, but good

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours like a weizenbock, with more of a purplish red tint. Khaki head, a finger’s worth or so. Nose and taste are both a bit all over the place: herbal, flowery hops, a hint of citrus, raisin, some brown sugar. Somewhat long, bitter finish. Strange brew, but not unsuccessful.
