Commercial Description:
Our triple pale is a bastardization of three regionally distinctive recipes that were stacked in unequal measure in order to make a beefy beer which highlights each recipe's finer points: Esters from a dominant Flanders yeast are reigned-in by cleaner American and London strains; Kent Golding hops provide mild bitterness, giving English and Belgian specialty malts room to breathe; Oregonian hops offer a fragrant nose; Belgian candy sugar boosts the strength of this mash-up to 8.5% ABV.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden deep hazzlenut amber/brown with a lacing off-white head. Dry wooden hops aroma with a light spice note. Smooth mouthfeel and nice mix of liqourice and malt flavours. Light spiced finish and a nice lingering chocolate and dense caramel malty finish with a nice hops balance.

Interesting mix of flavors. A strong ale with some malt and sweetness. Lots of candy in it. Some kind of experiment. Bought at Steve’s in Madison.

12oz bottle. Poured a deeper ambersih color with an averaged sized off white head. Lots of suspended floaters. Aromas of fruitiness, herbal, toffee, yeast, and bready. Tastes of toffee, fruitiness, and some candi sugar. Some spices came out as the beer warmed (especially in the aromas). Alcohol content well hidden.

12oz bottle. Enticing aroma of cereal grains, subdued clove, and toffee. There was also a whiff of alcohol. Poured a clear reddish-brown color with a fluffy khaki colored head. Head retention and lacing were good. Medium bodied and slightly sweet with mild to moderate hop bitterness that peaked at the end. The flavor mix was very unusual/unique including the likes of toffee, clove, alcohol (like a hint of Jagermeister), grass, citrus, and dark fruits. Somewhat difficult to wrap your olfactory lobe and tasted buds around.
