2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 LowBrau (67) - Tonawanda, New York, USA - MAY 21, 2012
Pours clear gold and effervescent. Lots of bubbles, decent sized rocky, white head. Watery, not a lot of flavor. Besides some sweet malt/grain and a hint of hop bitterness, there’s a faint underlying mediciney aroma, like chewable vitamins. Not much to it, but it goes down easy.

12oz stubbie from the new heritage pack. Pours a golden straw color, although slightly darker than most pale lagers. Aromas of... Well, not that much really. Some corn, maybe a little lemon zest but that’s about it. Taste follows suit, semi-sweet, clean but not very surprising or even that interesting. Still, this beer has no flaws as far as I can tell. It is surprisingly decent for a super cheap pale lager ($6.99/12 pack). Not a drain pour, but not something I would reach for if I was trying to impress someone.

Yup you guessed it, I mowed the lawn so looked into my fridge for something that I could chase that experience down with. Quite a fruity nose, also grainy, rather a familiar genny smell, like Cream ale? No off tastes but very thin watery stuff. Thanks Ron for the trade.

12oz stubby bottle, part of the Genesee heritage 12 pack.
Pours a clear, deep gold with a small fizzy head that quickly disappears. No lacing at all.
Smell is sweet grain with a faint hint of caramel. Maybe a touch of grassy hops in there as well.
The taste mostly cereal grain and a little bit of corn. There is just a little bit of bready malt and a little bit of grassy hop flavor leading to a light, drying bitterness. A dry, chalky sensation is left on the back of the throat making you want to take another drink.
Overall, this tastes like an adjunct lager to me, albeit a better than average one. There is some malt and hops detectable but very little. More importantly, there are really no off flavors and this beer is very refreshing and drinkable. Really a great bargain.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 cheap (3379) - Cheap Lager in Western, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 14, 2012
Decent pale lager with a slightly different taste than your typical genny. Ok, not bad. Goes down failry easy and I like that. No real nasty effects. Ok for the typical lager lover and its not too expensive! Good overall cheap pale lager beer experience.
