Bright bottled at Reading Beer Festival. A golden premium bitter. This is the weakest beer I bottled at the festival. And the palest. There is no condition, though it still tastes fresh. At this point it seems rather lifeless, lacking in flavours and quite joyless really. There’s some orange citric flavour, but not much. I’ll stick to beers over 6% in future.

A light fruity pilsner pretty average, Had from a 5litre minicask, got from brewery.

Cask Stillage at the Bhurtpore Inn, Aston 14/07/2004 Golden coloured hoppy fruity and slightly pale. Some bitterness in a crisp lasting malt finish.

Horrible smokey bread taste to this, like someone burnt the loaf. Not convinced it’s supposed to taste this phenolic, but if the brewers send out beer like this then they deserve all the criticism they get. (Cask @ Reading BF)
