3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ferfie (174) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 4, 2012
Pours a really watered down lemonade, but it had a nice head on it while it lasted. The aroma is pleasant, grassy hop with really light citrus smells, a little bit of a biscuit malt. Taste has the same hops as in the smell. Its grassy and faint lemon notes, little bit bitter. There’s a little bit of bready flavour. Bitterness lasts through to the finish, and the mouth feel is fitting. Really light and matches the carbonation of the beer really well. Obviously at 4.5% there’s no alcohol in the taste. I’m pretty confident I could down a 500ml bottle in about 5 minutes without noticing it, if I was out somewhere. It’s pretty much just the epitome of refreshing well done blond ale. There’s not a whole lot going on, but what is in there is put together well. on the down side… kinda looks like pee…

Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow colour with a white, foamy and lacy head. Aroma of lovely floral hops and strong citrus. Flavour of floral hops, citrus, light caramel and hay. Soft carbonation and a dry, bitter and floral finish. Thin mouthfeel but very refreshing.

Cask at the Gallows Bird XV Real Ale Festival, Espoo, Finland.
Cloudy golden colour with tiny frothy head.
Floral and very fruity aroma with mild dry bitterness and balancing malt. Citrus, grapefruit and moderate bitterness in balanced flavour. Short bitter aftertaste. Only thing that’s not excellent in this ale is slightly thin palate.
