Scopey (6833) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 30, 2013
Cask at the Grill, Aberdeen May 2012. It pours golden yellow with a medium white head. The nose is grainy, fresh lime, lemon, straw, damp leaf and grass. The taste is crisp, bitter, lemon, grapefruit, light resin, hay, grass and a touch of spice with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Good balance and very drinkable. Preferred this to the black.

Cask @ The Southern, 22-26 South Clerk Street, Newington, Edinburgh, Scotland EH8 9PR.

Hazy to murky medium orange yellow colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toasted, moderate to light heavy hoppy, citrus - lime, orange - mandarin. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120421]

Cask @ The Abbotsford. Rich golden amber yellow colour, good head. Big citrus fruit & grain aroma. Bitter citrus hoppy flavour. Strong bitter aftertaste. Typical of the style of the newest Fyne Ales.

[cask at the Bow Bar, Edinburgh][sampled alongside Davaar Black] Slightly hazy golden amber beer, large white head. Aromas of lemon citrus, lime zest and some wet hay. Similar flavours – crisp citric bitterness. Great beer, although overall I preferred the Black, on balance [27042012]

Gravity at Paisley Beer Festival. Pours light golden with minimal head. Grassy, peach and grapefruit aroma. Apple, lime, mango on the palate. Lingering powerful hop, guessing Nelson Sauvin,Amarillo new world hop infested total mouthful. Another class act from Fyne.

Cask at The Southern. Slightly hazy golden pour, thick white head. Nice juicy nose, hints of grapefruit and citrus. Juicy palate, reasonably dry with a touch of light bready malt and a big zesty grapefruit bitterness. Well-balanced, I like it.

Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. Fresh grass, pee and crisp citrus in the nose, some straw. Medium sweet with pissy bitters, dry straw, lemon. Near perfect balance. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with some grassy bitterness, light earth, dirty straw, light lemon peel, light pee. Wow. A truly excellent cask IPA.

Cask at the brewery-Thanks Will! Pours a hazy amber with rich citrus fruit and resin nose. Quite a citric bitterness in the mouth with good malt bill to balance. Look forward to trying the black I hope.
