500ml bottle from Stirchley Wines. Bit disappointed with this offering. tasted okay but nothing special, not a patch on jarl from fyne ales which is a gem of a pint. It tasted middle of the road with a lemon flavour. Perfectly serviceable but noting to write home about.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask handpull, The Criterion, Leicester, 26/01/12. Brilliant, beaten gold slicked with white. Delicate honey and tropical fruit aroma with pine hints. Fine, oozing character thick with condition and nodding at lychee and fresh pulped orange. Dry finish with a resonating, soapy bitterness softened with paler, nutty and biscuit malt notes. Tropical but lean and pilsy at once. Impressive.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is pleasant with citrus and light malts. Taste is sharp citrus and spicy hop bitterness with a mild malty sweetness underneath. Light to medium body and adequate carbonation leaving a nice feeling on the palate. This is one heck of a blonde ale. Very tasty.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAY 10, 2013 Aroma: Fresh fruit smell - lemon and orange. Nice, clean aroma.
Appearance: Straw coloured, hazy body. Small, foamy head. Light carbonation.
Taste: Tangerine notes, with a lemon and lime kick on the finish. Subtle enough that you could enjoy a few of these in a session.
Palate: Light to medium mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Slightly oily texture.
Overall: A truly delicious beer and one that I will be buying again soon. Highly recommended for the delicate fruity taste and tangy finish.

500ml bottle. One finger frothy white head, good retention, lacy and a lively pale golden body. a bright and crisp golden with a lovely zesty and juicy, enticing hop profile. Zesty, pithy lemon aromas. Flavours of peach, lemon and tangerine. Light to medium body, good carbonation and hop sting and a lingering grapefruity bitterness. Not overly biting but cheeky enough to make you go back for more.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at home, from my trusty old Maudite glass, shared with Cole. Pours clear gold with a light haze; 1-finger, reasonably long-lived head, spotty lacing. Nose is fresh and bright: Earthy hops, lemon and spice, very fresh smelling. Almost smells like spring... Flavours of earth, lemon, key limes, bright citrus, and again, lots and lots of grass. Complex and lovely.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pale amber; I think I could read a newspaper through the full pint glass. Fair froth. Perhaps it is a slight cold that is muting the aromas this weekend. Very light scent and the more I sniff the more I get the dog sitting beside me on the couch. Flavour is alive though! Light pepperyness on the tongue. Light ctirus. A nice bottled beer. I had heard horror stories of bland Brittish Golden Ales but the recent examples that have come to Calgary are intriguing in their subtle differences, balance and nice use of hops.

Bottle courtesy of and shared with my dad at home, cheers dad consumed 08.12.11 Pours light gold with a white head. This is grapefruity with a good bitterness but this is tempered by the fact that there is a good sweetness also. Nice soft unobtrusive carbonation, very nice beer. A6 A4 A8 P3 Ov13 3.4
