Bottle fresh from, the brewery. Crisp golden colour with a brilliant white heap. A bit robust and husky at first before settling down to a pleasurable refreshing palate cleaner. Not overly complex but certainly quenching.

Bottle at home, courtesy of Kirsty. Very clear and deep golden colour. Some gas, appropriately?

Cask. Southampton Arms. Fresh on otb 10th April 2015. Golden colour. White lacing. Top biscuity malt. Really gentle malt. Succulent. Dry and grapefruit juice. Citrus. Really drinkable. Crisp and fruity finish. Great golden ale! Top work!

On Cask at the Royal Oak ( whilst listening to various impromptu folky numbers from random punters on guitars etc at 1am) Pours light golden. Citrus hoppy aroma. Chunky hop character. Pine. Biscuit. Pale malts. Nice big IBU. Fresh. Refreshing. Delicious cask ale.

Cask at Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fa in Rome. Nearly clear gold with a billowy and lasting large-bubbled white head. Medium-light body, medium sweetness, hoppy and bitter with low natural carbonation leaving it a little watery, but there’s enough malt succulence to hold it together, and the oily hoppiness lingers long after in a grassy finish. Aroma is noble / citric hops with notes of lemon zest and herbs and diacetyl that comes across as burnt butter and something oddly like olive oil as well. It’s quenching and bittersweet and gulpable but lacks depth with both malt and hops.

Lovely refreshing citrus. Pale yellow with nice head . Maybe served little too warm as impatient. Just before being sickly or overpowering with the grapefruit it pulls back with the hops. Another winner from fyne

Cask at the Manor Arms, Broughton-in-Furness. Yellow and clear. Scent of butterscotch and lemon. Bittersweet taste. Malt, golden syrup and cereal notes. Medium bittersweet palette. Not initially keen on this one, but it grows on me.

0,5 l bottle, best before 1/2015. Got it for free as it is past its prime. Hazy, golden yellow with a foamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sourish, fruity aroma of citrus, vanilla and toffee. Slightly bitter taste of citrus, vanilla and toffee with hints of tobacco or leather. Short, crisp, medium bitter finish. Medium body, fresh, spritzy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Refreshing, easy to drink and only 4.4 % abv: good!

Cask @ the bow bar, Edinburgh. Body is clear yellow golden, head is small white. Nose is lagerish, aroma is bread, grass, herbs, soap. Light sweet, medium to heavy hoppy bitter. Medium to full body, oily texture, nearly no carbonation. Easy hoppy beer.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fresh, citrusy hoppy aroma, notes of lemon, lemon yoghurt, biscuity, pale malty background, lemon biscuit. Taste is citrusy hoppy, minimally tart, lemon notes again, in yoghurt, biscuit and peel mode. Very nice, refreshing, highly drinkable.
