3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500 ml bottle. BBE 06/2012.
Pours a slightly pale yellow colour with a white head on the edges. Very strong aroma of lime and hops. Lovely flavour strong pale malts, strong floral hops and citrus in a great balance. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a bitter, citrusy finish. Bitter and refreshing, therefore a golden ale done right.

Pours light yellow, clear, with a small bubbly white head. Massive citrusy aroma with notes of malts, hay and spices. Taste is quite citrusy with some malts, grassy hops and spices. Finish is slightly bitter and smooth. Okay, quite citrusy blond ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Half pint at Euston Tap, Euston Road, London. A clear, light golden yellow but without any noticeable head. The aroma is quite complex - clearly there’s lemon there but also a nice floral quality. Tastes very bitter without drying the mouth out too much. Smooth in the mouth. Refreshing.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle from Stirchley Wines. Bit disappointed with this offering. tasted okay but nothing special, not a patch on jarl from fyne ales which is a gem of a pint. It tasted middle of the road with a lemon flavour. Perfectly serviceable but noting to write home about.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask handpull, The Criterion, Leicester, 26/01/12. Brilliant, beaten gold slicked with white. Delicate honey and tropical fruit aroma with pine hints. Fine, oozing character thick with condition and nodding at lychee and fresh pulped orange. Dry finish with a resonating, soapy bitterness softened with paler, nutty and biscuit malt notes. Tropical but lean and pilsy at once. Impressive.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is pleasant with citrus and light malts. Taste is sharp citrus and spicy hop bitterness with a mild malty sweetness underneath. Light to medium body and adequate carbonation leaving a nice feeling on the palate. This is one heck of a blonde ale. Very tasty.
