Cask at the Wenlock Arms, London on 13th February 2011. Pale gold with thin white vanishing head. Lemon citric aroma, touch of ginger. Vibrant kick of grassy hoppiness with late bitter flash; citric aftertaste with floral notes. Light mouthfeel.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours yellow with tiny impurities and a white head. Skewed British hops in the nose. Light body, very fresh hops dominates the flavour - Sorachi Ace?? Nah, I doubt it but it has a very fresh and tropical feel to it. Ends very bitter. 310312

Bottle @ FOneFan. Slightly hazy yellow with small white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hops and a little citrus. Flavour is malt, fruit, hops, little sweet, grass, little citrus and medium bitter.

Aroma - sweet grapefruit citrus hops...light grapefruit zest...sweet pale malts...fresh....light tangerine...sweet citrus fruits
Taste - lots of grapefruit...pithy...zesty bitterness...background of sweet juicy pale malts...very well balanced...refreshing...not complex but a lot of flavour...great grapefruit taste
Palate - soft carb....quite puckering bitterness...medium body....light soft soapy texture....strong citrus tang. Finish - zesty grapefruit bitterness...lingers a bit then cleans well off palate
Overall - This is one of the best, if not the best Scottish golden ale....very quaffable

Aroma has is hoppy and slightly sweet with fruits, citron, hints of toffee and hay. Flavour has nice, fruity hops, citron, some floral notes and hints of hay. Hoppy, nice and refreshing.
