The taste starts with a citrus floral aroma, the tongue then picks up the honey and a bold grapefruity finish follows.

Cask handpull at Abbotsford, Edinburgh. Pale gold, thin white head. Citrusy pale gold hoppy beer in the JHB mould. Some grapefruit, some hay style pale malt, grassy throughout. Decent tingly crisp finish. Bit of mouth puckering acidity. Good biting crisp pale gold beer.

Cask in Glasgow. An outstanding bitter, just the beer if you really love hops. Flowery, dry, refreshing. Too extreme for some, I suppose.

A Mes rate: Cask handpull at the Abbortsford. Pale gold with a thin white rim of bubbles. Lovely crisp grapefruity hops nose. Dusty and fruity grapefruity hop flavour With a lovely dry bitter finish. Effortlessly drinkable. Very tasty session beer.

Cask (return system) at The Abbotsford, Edinburgh. Pale golden colour, low head. Very nice aroma of fruity hops (citrus, tropical fruits). The flavour is very refreshing with zesty and fruity hops throughout, but is not too bitter. The mouthfeel is maybe a bit thin. A nice beer though.

(Cask by gravity at Bree Louise, Euston, London, 16 Apr 2009) Pale golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with grass, citrus peel and citrussy hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of lemon, grass and generous doses of fresh hops. Light body, fairly dry. Fresh, hoppy and nice golden ale.

Rastacouere (5923) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 25, 2007
A cask ale for the hopheads this one. A flowery, peppery, spicy and very mineral golden ale. Clear and wearing a fair white head that slowly fades. Interesting palate has a rather crisp bite for a cask offering. Floral and efficient cutting bitter finish. Light limey and watermelon-like salted cracker notes. Good stuff.

Cask at the New Barrack Tavern, Sheffield, South Yorks, 16-08-08 Almost straw coloured beer with white soft ice cream like head. Little bit thin on first taste, but there was a nice streaky bitterness that started to show and flex its muscles the further down this beer you got, some malts and fruit also, good beer, and a very nice pub with really friendly landlady and landlord.

Cask, The Abbotsford, Edinburgh, RBESG 07. Grassy hoppy, citrusy. Mouth is hoppy and grassy, with a good helping of grapefruit. Finishes bitter and dry. Slips down easily, if a bit one-dimensionally.
