Craft. Light haze on this amber beer. Little white head. Light palate, a little crispy and dry. Mild hops - mellow orange with a whisper of mango. Fair few minerals. Trace of juicy fruit bubblegum. Finishes dry with a carbonated nip and a little fresh hop spice.

Leighton (11900) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 23, 2012
Cask at CBC, London. Pours a mostly clear, strong gold with a frothy, white foam head. Aroma holds a bit of toasted malts, mild melon, berries, stray citrus. Light to medium sweet flavor with a nice, bready and toasty bready character, along with some toasted leaves, very faint grass, some orange citrus, hints of tangy lemon. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Well balanced on the finish, with a bit more toasty malts, some zesty citrus fruits, bread, melon, orange, very mild spicy pine and dry leaves. This is a very well rounded beer. The bitterness is perhaps just a touch too robust in the aftertaste, but aside from that it is very good.

Cask @ The State Bar. Reddish amber brown colour, good head. Fruity resin malt aroma. Glycol & citrus fruit flavour. Fruity hoppy aftertaste. Decent but not as good as their golden ales.

stravale (2280) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - JUL 11, 2012
Cask @ Golden Rule, Edinburgh 100712
Dark amber red, slight haze, creamy white head, good lacing
Aroma - citrus tropical hops, sweet caramel malts, floral notes
Taste - tropical fruit hops, mango, bit of pineapple, biting zest, backbone of quite rich caramel malts, some gooseberry
Palate - soft carb, medium body, bitter zesty, quite sticky, smooth mouthfeel. Finish - bitter, a little astringent, zesty hoppy finish, bitter tail.
Overall - A bit over astringent and not totally convinced of the balance between malts and hops, but it’s a good flavoured beer which I enjoyed,

BeerCast_Rich (1894) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 26, 2012
[cask, FyneFest 2012] Reddish amber pour, aroma of coppery, metallic citrus fruit. Reasonably bitter citrus on the aroma, also sweet toffee and woody sap. Long bitter finish. Tastes more like an Orkney Blast than a red ipa – but it’s fantastic [02062012]
