COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available filtered in 500ml dark glass bottles.
A robust ale, with reddish mahogany colour and warm roasted malt flavours. Fruity hop aromas generate a distinctive character to this beer.

* Bottle. Pours slightly hazy, mahogany brown, with a white head. * Aroma is dark malts & roasted earthy. * Palate is medium bodied, very low carbonation, very fine bubbles. * Taste is rich, roasted malts, bitter & pine. * Finish is bitter, drying. * Dark ale, earthy, roasted malts.

500ml bottle from brewery via eebria. Deep Amber colour with a creamy off white head. Aroma has fruit and malt the taste more dried fruit, caramel and a touch of hoppy spice.

Bottle from the brewery. Piurs chestnut with a cream head. A nice bitter malty flavour. Red fruits and hints of toffee, coffee and chocolate. There’s mild citrus and spice too. A good solid bitter.

Bottle. Tea-like maltiness coupled with some strawberry esters and floral hops. Some toffee additionally. The flavour is a bit darker, with some roasted and earthy notes shining through. Light, dry, crisp, tasty beer.

Aroma: dark roasted malts, caramel. Appearance: nice clear mahogany color, white head. Taste: medium bitterness (herbs, pine), dark roasted malts, fruit notes, caramel, coffee substitute, a little bit sour. Palate: low body and medium carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Quite interesting bitter with a nice fresh taste.
