A robust ale, with reddish mahogany colour and warm roasted malt flavours. Fruity hop aromas generate a distinctive character to this beer.

Cask conditioned @ Humble Plumb. Deep coppery brown. Fruity biscuity malts with some caramel and well rounded earthy hops. Light bodied but this seemed to emphasise the flavours and made this particularly drinkable. A marked contrast to the JW Lees Ruddy Glow I had before.

Bottle: Brown colour, nice head. Aroma of hops, citric, and a nice flowery nose. Flavor is hopy, malty, and a nice compålexity in the mix of maltynes and hops. Smouth thin body(nice enyway),and a fruity medium finish.

Bottle, moderate head, good lace, beautiful dark brown color. The aroma isn’t very strong, but I get clear notes of roasted malt. The flavour also has the notes of roasted malt, but also a hint of smoke, caramel and aroma hops/fruit. The finish has a nice bitterness.
