cgarvieuk (2094), Edinburgh, Scotland Jun 3, 2007 Deep brown ruby, with thin tight off white head, Rich fruitcake with a little malt, bitter roast front, malts with little graefruit. Magic_dave6 (3420), Glasgow, Scotland Mar 19, 2007 This went on a roller coaster, it went from a 4.1- 3.3 then back up again in 2 days so this is an average. Aroma is fruity, plums and berryness, touch of chocolate malt, roasted at times but luckily not all the time. Taste is like the best brown ale ever made rich toffee malts with fruityness again and a great fruity hop finish, however this can change to fruity but burnt and roasty, heavily bitter finish which i couldnt even be bothered finishing. But 2 out of 3 times it was a winner so i’ll go with it. GarethYoung (1108), Glasgow, Scotland Nov 8, 2006 Updated: Jan 5, 2007[Cask at The Three Judges] Deep, dark appearance with a moderate, dense, tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, liquorice, and some berry fruit, background grassy hop notes. Medium bodied with a touch of fruit on the palate and lots of dryness. Excellent, well balanced porter. Nekronos (1795), Xalapa, Mexico Apr 17, 2006 Good one, I have to admit these guys made a great one with this. The colour is almost dark, but it has some foam. A little annoying after a while, but good for having a conversation in a fine Pub.
