Cask@FyneAlesFest. Amazing what they can do with a 3.5% beer. So hoppy, so flavourful, good body. Very nice.

On tap @ Thomsons Bar. Pours golden and has a well proportioned head. The nose has grass and meadowsweet. The taste has vegetal and lemon flavours. The palate is medium bodied with a creamy long dry finish. Overall just about enough body to call it an ale, so yes, well brewed!

Aroma: Bread and citrus. Slightly soapy.

Appearance: Pale golden body with a thin white head. No visible carbonation. Nice lacing.

Taste: Reminiscent of Jarl, but with more of a pale malt backbone. Very bitter with a surprising amount of flavour for 3.5% ABV - grapefruit, straw and biscuit. Dry, peppery finish.

Palate: Thin body with an oily mouthfeel. Very soft carbonation.

Overall: An excellent low ABV Golden Ale, with a nice level of bitterness and flavour.

Cask @ Bandstand Bar, Nairn 190912
Light golden, crystal clear, thin white film, no lacing
Aroma - citrus fruits, soft grapefruit, lemon, soft mango, light aroma, light sweet
Taste - citrus hops, lemon, soft grapefruit, quite bitter hops, bit of apricot, less flavour than Jarl, very light pale malt, good flavour though for only 3.5%
Palate - little carb, thin body, slightly oily, bitter zest palate. Finish - biter hoppy zest. lingering bitter slight flinty finish
Overall - Good beer for the abv, very well made, but seems to have the bitterness of Jarl but less fruity and a bit thinner. Jarl is considerably better for me - but itís a good easy session beer

Cask at The Cask & Barrel Broughton Street. Pale gold with a white head. Aroma of citrus. Flavour has some nice malt and plenty of Lemony hops. Dry, bitter finish. Another impressive-for-itís-ABV job from Fyne. Very nice.
