Aroma of pale malt, some citrus, grain, soft hoppy notes. Flavour is light sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Didn’t get much Nelson, more of a noble hop profile, like you’re drinking an extra hoppy Lager. An okay beer, but not what the bottle label promises.

Not a massive fan of this, disappointed as the black version is pretty solid. Faint hop aromas and some malt sweetness. Flavour is fairly one dimensional, more like APA. Aftertaste is astringent bitter grapefruit and a dry Czech lager style finish.

From a bottle in Edinburgh. Looks like a lager; excellent clarity. Smells like an APA, with herbal/fruity hops dominating. Medium-light body with medium carbonation.

From tap at Taphouse, Copenhagen. Clear golden colour with a white head. Aroma and flavour of hops, citrus, malt and grapefruit.

Draught at Taphouse. Clear golden colored with a small white head. Fruity aroma of hops and citrus peel with notes of butter and pine needles. Fruity flavor of hops and pine needles. Hoppy finish.

18.11.2013. Sitrusta ja greippiä tuoksussa, ipaksi aika hentoa. Semiraikas, maussa sitrusta ja jotain yrttiä tai hedelmää, passionhedelmää? Ihan jees.

Draft at Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fa in Rome. Lightly hazed gold with a foamy and lasting white head. Medium-light bodied, lightly sweet with medium to high relative bitterness and mild acids. Malt impression is baked biscuits with honey and faint butter. Hops are noble-like, floral and lemon-citric and somewhat like honeysuckle. Nicely filling mouthfeel and the malt is savory and the carbonation creamy. I’m prone to say there’s diacetyl at low levels but it doesn’t show the acidic signature in the mouth, but manifests as a butterscotch quality in aroma and flavor/retronasal, but I can also see it being old noble hops (Saaz would be my first guess).

Bottle Rehills Newcastle. Sweet and jammy, dusty pale beer. Hints of toffee in the background. Doesn’t have the big hop hit, but it’s subtlety creeps up nicely. Mandarin and peach in the finish. Good stuff.

Garrold (2488) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2015
Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Hazy gold. Film of clingy, white head. Toffee malts. Some dried pineapple. Pineapple cube sweets. A bit buttery. Taste is sweet, turning long, light, citrus bitter. Decent body. Soft carbonation. Bit of chew. Finishes lengthy bitter. Ok, but not keen on the buttery thing.
