Cask at CPK during the pub’s 5th birthday celebration - London. Pours clear, rich gold with a creamy, white head. The nose has light leaves, hay and orange rind. Light to medium sweet flavor with moderate leafy bitterness, some grainy bread, light citric astringency. Light bodied with fine carbonation; OK condition. Craft Clerkenwell. Cask. Clear amber beer, few pale cream colour bubbles not being a head. Palate is light and dry, modest fine carbonation. Little smoke. Trace of tangy dried fruits, orange in the lead. Whisper of hop spice. Light bitterish finish and more unwelcome smoke. Almost passes muster.

Served on cask as a hoppy tawny bitter. It fits the bill with a crisp bite from the bittering hops. Very mild aroma hopping. Malt is subdued, no crystal sweetness to fight with the bittering. Clean finish.
