Boystout (824), Chisinau, Moldova Aug 22, 2005 One of the better 3.5 beers, but still uninteresting. The colour is quite OK, full golden. Thin head, light herbal aroma. Not much flavour but the beer is refreshing...
larsga (2314), Oslo, Norway Sep 29, 2008 Big coarseish white head does not last. Yellow body. Floral shampoo and vegetable aroma. Dryish floral straw and soap taste with grassy rubbery notes. Light, clean mouthfeel. Dryish floral grassy hop aftertaste. Light and drinkable, but definitely watered down. (0.5l bottle, shop, Charlottenberg.) saxo (2321), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Aug 2, 2008 Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is pale golden. Aroma and taste are malt and hops. Crisp clean taste. Gr0ve (1116), Oslo, Norway Jun 5, 2008 500 ml bottle. Golden colour. Crystal claear. Very tall white coarse head that clings to the glass. Delicate papery noble hop aroma with some metallic notes. Grassy. Crisp maltiness. Light-bodied, but still with quite a bit of malt flavour. Light lingering floral hop bitterness through to the finish. Very nice. KnutAlbert (2322), Oslo, Norway Apr 18, 2008 Sweet grain, like a boquet of flowers past its prime, the pollen falling from the peatls making the dusty hoppiness. Austrian brewers are rearely daring, and when they water down the beer for the Swedish market they do certainly not improve. Daredevil (77), Bern, Switzerland Apr 13, 2008 straw-blonde colour ... not very firm head (the foam is a bit ’soapy’) .... taste is a bit soury ....
the problem with Austrian beers will be similar to the problem with Swiss beers I guess: the water is too hard ... this usually gives a light bodied beer with a soury note ... ok as a thirst quencher in summer, but not a beer to enjoy
