Pitch black with a nice big holding head. There is something int both smell as taste that i don’t like at all. Ruins it a bit for sure.

Cask @ Rushden Historical Transport Society. Impenetrable black witha beige head. Beech smoke and seawater dominate the aroma. The taste is nothing short of incredible: sweet/salty with a meaty umami finish and aftertaste. Full creamy palette. This is a perfect oyster stout, the stuff that dreams are made of.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein schwarzes Bier mit schöner bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, Schokolade. Geschmack sehr röstmalzig, angenehm cremig, schokoladig, erdig.

On gravity at the Tewkesbury winter beer festival, 7/2/2014. Black, with a slight, off-white head. Plenty of chocolate, a hint of the sea, some roasted malts and a dryish finish. Good.

Appearance: Dark brown with 2 finger tan head. Aroma: Floral, grassy/hay, granary bread/toast, roast malts and subtle liquorice. Taste: Low/medium sweetness and bitterness, low sourness. Palate: Smooth light texture and body, average carbonation, abrupt dry bitter sour malty finish. Comments: Tasty and glass lace.
