Cask, gravity, at the Pig ’n’ Falcon, St Neots, Cambridgeshire. Gold. Slightly citric aroma. Taste has some background wheat, but it’s mainly sour fruit. Mid bitter finish, with a hint of artificial sweetener. Not bad.

cask @ Eight Bells Dover. Hazy golden, lemony-zesty nose. Light and refreshing. Malty with a lemony touch on the finish.

Cask conditioned handpump Evening Star Brighton. A blonde beer with a small off-white coloured head. An orange citrussy aroma leads to a fruity wheaty taste. It’s a touch sickly at time and ends up as one of those British sweetish and hoppy goldens which has a sicky element.

Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Pale biscuity malts, orange notes, then the wheat shows through with corriander and fruity esters, some pineapple. It is a bit on the wheaty side which makes it not over drinkable.

Cask gravity at Rare Breeds BF 08. Never one of my favourite Gadd’s beers, but this was particularly good. Gold, lasting off white head. Cracking condition. Nice summer beer, nice hops, some cereal, bit of peach, rose petal. Such great condition and lovely peachy fruit.

Cask at Churchill’s, Ramsgate: Gold in colour. Very fruity with an almost porridge like flavour as well. Really good summer beer.
