Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear deep golden. Salty hay and orange aroma. Mid dry with grainy malt and medium bodied. Very salty and lightly fruity. Orange peels leads to a long salty finish with resiny bitterness.

Fruity aroma. Typical bitter appearance, rich orange, small head. Simple malty body, but with some well balanced hops poking up occasionally to. Soft palate, carbonation low. Fairly dull bitter, but certainly passable.

Cask, Criterion, Leicester. Hazy gold with a white foam. Aromas are autumn fruit with lemon. Lightly floral with caramel, apple and woody aspects. Flavours are stewed pear with green apple and some citrus. Peppery with dry, woody notes and a fruity, bitter finish. Average.

[500ml bottle from The Bottleneck, Broadstairs, that Dad shared with me - cheers!] Golden-amber, slight white head, slight fizz. Bitter, herby, resinous, a few flowers, but just didn’t work for me I’m afraid.

Cloudy light amber colour with tiny white head.
Weak malty aroma with some mild hoppiness.
Some caramel malt and mild fruity hoppiness in flavour.
Quite unsurprising brew.

Bottle from Mr Lawrence Wine Merchants, Brockley. Pale gold pour with a white head. Peach, grapefruit and lemon aromas. Quite a bitter nose. Bitter citrus flavours. Bitter, hoppy finish.

Tap @ Akkurat. Pours clear amber with a small off white head leaving nice lace. Aroma is piny, hoppy, grassy and slightly malty. Flavoris watery, piny, citric, fruity and bitter. Finishes tart bitter.

Bottled (thanks D. Brett). Slightly hazy golden colour, mediumsized longlasting foamy head that leaves some lace. Aroma is citrus fruits, wood, quite malty as well as some herbal and mild toasted notes. Flavour is malty, a bit fruity, some floral notes as well as wooden hoppyness. Mild biscuity and herbal notes.

Cask. Clear golden yellow with very short dishwater bubbly head.
Bitter and a bit chemical aroma with citrus and peach. Weedy hops.
Tropical fruity (oranges, peach, a bit of mango seed) taste with a nasty chemical perfumy note. Grassy hops. The aftettaste is bitter and quite nasty with a soapy touch.
