[Cask at The Dolphin, Broadstairs] Amber, moderate white head. Sweet and sticky at first; a hoppy caramel middle with spicy hints leads to a very dry finish. Odd beer, not sure what to make of it other than that I didn’t enjoy it very much.

Cask, gravity, at The Pig ’n’ Falcon. Gold with a small white head. Faint floral hop aroma. Citric taste, most like grapefruit. Nice biscuity malt in the background. Slight bitterness. Good.

Some hop aroma. Golden coloured smooth on the palate and hoppy with a floral and slightly bitter malt finish.

Cask conditioned at The Unicorn, Canterbury. Amber with white head. Sweetish malty bitter with quite a brown bread grainy note. Simple, but quite reasonable in a cracking pub garden in the sun.

Cask - Unicorn Inn, Canterbury. An orangey yellow beer with a fine white head. Bitter and fruity yet perfumey aromas. Plenty of spicy hop bitterness with a fruity malt balance. Lasting dry finish on a good, medium body. This was nice.

Cask: My least favourite of the Ramsgate brewery’s beers. It’s still not bad though. Very hoppy with a little malt in there. There is a bit of harshness towards the end which ruins it a bit.

A Mes rate:
Cask at Chelmsford Beer Festival. Golden blonde colour. Amazing sweet hoppy aroma. Unusual and very good. Flavour is not quite so great with some sourish hops and a slight tartness. Not great if I’m honest.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 StueyD (666) - Heacham, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, ENGLAND - JUL 27, 2006
A golden yellow coloured beer with a weak white head. A malty nose, with a spicy, clove and cinnamon element to it. The taste is dry, with a hoppy touch to begin with, then the malty spice flavour comes through, with cinnamon and cloves amongst other standing out. A dry finish. (Cask - @ The Fox & Hounds, Heacham, Norfolk).
