Cask gravity at The Haywain, Bramling. They had this down as Oat Mill Stout, but pretty sure it was the Oatmeal. Black, dark brown edges, lasting dark beige head. Some liquorice, but another example that Eddie makes exceptional dark beers. Good bitterness on the finish. Lovely choc and proper thick malt. Some date fruit in there. Really good and the only beer I had twice.

Cask at Euston Tap, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige creamy head on top. Roasty, malty aroma. Tastes malty, roasty, chocolate, oaty. Smooth, rich and easy drinking. A decent stout from Gadds.

Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours brown-black with a creamy, tight tan head. Nose has some lacto and roast, dark cocoa, slight dark malt tang. Light sweet flavor, moderately roasty with some dark sugars, dirt, burnt grass, tobacco, ash. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly dry to finish, lightly sweet with burnt cocoa, mineral, burnt grass, dark toast, a bit of earth. So so overall. Certainly seems a bit thin, and the general character isn’t altogether synergistic. A decent drinker but could be better.

Cask. Jet black. Light tan head. Not much nose, but what's there is malty and wheaty (full of oat). In the mouth, theres more maltiness - some fruit, plum, fig, a little banana hint. Quite dry finish and not too bitter. Nice and oaty.

Cask - The Butcher’s Arms, Herne. Very dark brown with a fine, rocky & loose beige head. Roasted malt and chocolate aromas with a touch of coffee. Quite a sweet, roasty flavour profile with some dark fruit, oatiness and a delicate bitter bite. Slightly disappointed by the finish; not much length or bitterness to it, but a nice toasty aftertaste. Low carbonation, medium body and a smooth, oily mouthfeel.

Gravity @ The Butcher’s Arms, Herne. Deep brown with a thick beige head. Awesome roasty malt, chocolate and coffee aroma. Taste is superb, more of the aforementioned qualities and a great balance of sweet and bitter. Eddie, you clearly know what you’re doing on the stout front.

Cask: This beer is beautiful. Smooth and silky stout with loads of chocolate and a little coffee. You can taste the oats, they really add to the beer. This is a pleasure to drink.
