Draft at Micro Bar Reykjavik This pale ale was one the best in Iceland. The bartender said the brewery was small located about 3 1/2 hours North of Reykjavik. The owner of the brewery has ownership in the Micro Bar. The ale poured a cloudy orange with grapefruit on the nose and in the flavor. There was lacing. The cascade hops provided the citrus aroma and flavors. The balanced ale had average carbonation. The finish had a a full mouth of hops bitterness. This is a fine pale ale worth trying.

Pours orange hazy with a white head. Smells of pepper, floral, yeast esters, menthol, citrus zests and malts. Medium sweet, quite fruity, some tropical elements as well. Heavy bitter, resins and zests. A quite nice pale ale. The bartender said it wasn’t totally ready - the carbonation wasn’t as high as it should be. But for me the carbonation level was just fine. Good beer indeed

For such a good Pale Ale the head is a bit of a disappointment. It starts with too much of it, then it dissipates too fast. The aftertaste is a tad too bitter

Clear light reddish amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of hops, quite floral, fruity, light candy sweets, honey and malt. Light bitter flavour, sweetish malts. Fresh. Finish light honey, malty, floral with a slight bitterness.
Lovely brew!

Flaska @ Micro Bar, Reykjavik.

330ml bottle thanks to Elisabeth and Stefan for sharing. Firm white tophead blanketing the glassware. Cloudy, golden body. Plain hop fruity aroma with mid-sweet grapefruit coming through. Passion fruits and a gentle touch of pine needles in flavour. Mid-dry, bitter finale. Refreshing and moreish (Tromsø, 20.08.2012).
