3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Foxbush (986) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - APR 1, 2013
Draft at the Micro Bar in Reykjavik The stout poured an opaque balck with a creamy tan head. There was lacing. This was a fine stout that started off slow but closed well. The aroma had tobacco and roasted malts on the nose. The stout improved over time. The medium body stout had soft carbonation. Maybe a hint of licorice and bitter hops at the finish. Not a bad stout. This is a stout worth trying while in Iceland.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 mzaar (883) - Varberg, SWEDEN - FEB 23, 2013
Kolsvart öl, med beigt skum. Lakrits, kaffe, rökighet, mörk choklad, röda bär - allt ryms i aromen. Ljuvligt gott.

This beer had the highest score on our Icelandic craft beer tasting, and it was also one of my favourites, too bad it was one of the last ones tasted, towards the end of our trip. I couldve had some more. The only thing I can objectively point out for loss of points was the thin head, a constant in many Icelandic brews we tasted

On tap at Micro Bar in Reykjavik. Dark pour with a froth head. Mild aroma of toasted malt. Hint of code in the taste. Overall a pleasant stout, if a bit on the watery side.
