A chocolate, roast, char, ink sort of stout with a malt powder and yeast powder quality. Medium to full body, chewy and sourish cola and caramel and astringent black malt husks. A menthol / robitussin medicine flavor develops with some higher alcohols showing up warm, a lot of alcohol and burnt popcorn.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft. Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown to black. Aroma is moderately malty (chocolate/cocoa, caramel, roasted grain), lightly yeasty (dough), with notes of plum, apple, grape. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, syrupy/watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Fruity in a sorta Belgian way but maybe unintentionally so...ok but a little odd and flabby.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl bottle from the Vinbudinn in Austraeti, Reykjavik. A wee bit disappointing, from an excellent brewery. It ain’t peach, it’s aldehydes - fermented a bit fast perhaps. Nice idea, likely to improve with practice if their track record is anything to go by.
