3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl bottle @ olio, BBE 05.06.2014
Aroma is fruity with pear esthers and some yeasty tones. Also hints of plastic glue. Flavour has pear esthers, berries, some plastic clue and some roastiness. Odd and not very stout-like. Somehow I do not find this completely unpleasant though.

Loved this one. Good dark coffee and nutty aroma, with a bitter flavour that had hints of chocolate and nuts. Would love to go to Iceland to try this again

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bad bottle I think. Poured black and flat. Aroma is sour root beer. Taste is a funky sharp sour. Still has decent roasted malt notes and a bitter finish. I got a sense of what the beer is intended to be like and based on that and other reviews I really wish I'd had the chance to taste this unspoiled. Perhaps in the future.
