On tap at Gaffel am Dom. Fruity, malty. A bit diacetyl. Metallic. No lasting head.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 imaragingbull (302) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUL 11, 2010
500ml bottle. 4.8% ABV. Pours clear pale straw yellow with medium white head. Clean aromas, some bread and corn subtly noticeable. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body - no real standout flavours here except for the typical clean kolsch yeast profile; just grainy if anything other than the clean taste, medium dry, refreshing and satisfying finish. Nice beer; nothing outstanding of course, but you wouldnt expect too much more from a kolsch.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 riversideAK (4381) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JUL 6, 2010
Tap. Lightly grainy aroma, bread, soft ale yeast notes. Pours filtered clean golden, thin bubbly head. Clean sweet grains, light crisp hop presence. Clean, super drinkable. Light ale residual sweetness as well. Enjoyable example. I like kolsch.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 DuffMan (4242) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 5, 2010
Bottle. Bright yellow gold with a bubbly white head showing decent retention. Grainy aroma and flavour with faint yeasty fruit. Clean from start to finish, but nothing really special in my mind.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 ectuohy27 (258) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 4, 2010
Nothing special here; my previous Kölsch (red label, different brewery) was much better, like "lager plus". This is, if anything, lager minus. Faint sweetness, slightly less faint hoppy (soapy even) bitterness at end. Forgettable
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 barak316 (107) - Elyria, Ohio, USA - JUL 2, 2010
Pours a clear light golden hue, with a thin white head. Smells of budlight. Tastes of a slightly more complex budlight. Light bodied with little to no finish. This is the perfect hot as balls summer day beer. This is just a budlight with a little bit more complexity. If you are a craft beer drinker but are in the mood for something light in the way of budlight get a sixer of this and fool all your friends.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JanEric (661) - Meppel, NETHERLANDS - JUL 1, 2010
Golden yellow coloured, pours out with a small vanishing head, lots of carbonation. Aroma has grains, wheat some hops. Smooth taste, light hoppy, light to medium bodied. Nice, fresh, some fruity like green apples. Finish is bitterish and reasonable long.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 GreatLibations (1771) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - JUN 27, 2010
Beautifully golden with a lasting head. Smells fresh yet old world. Full bodied with excellent carbonation. This is as good as it gets. Round and bitter with fresh flavors and a crisp dryness. The finish is bittered well. It goes down so smooth and quenches my thirst after a long day is the sun.
